Radiology Technician - Full Time - 40 hrs/wk

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  1. Maintains a compassionate environment for patient care.
  2. Maintains a safe and clean working environment.
  3. Performs and processes radiographs of the designated area as requested by the physician, physician’s assistant.
  4. Performs diagnostic EKG procedure as requested by the physician, physician’s assistant.
  5. Provides patient education relevant to specific imaging procedures.
  6. Assists or performs treatments/procedures as directed.
  7. Maintains accurate and complete recording/reporting of all patient information in a timely manner.
  8. Participates in emergency care as directed.
  9. Maintains radiology exam and procedure rooms.
  10. Maintains medical supplies inventory and equipment – (radiology and EKG) assuring equipment is in optimal conditions and ready for use.
  11. Maintains up to date professional and technical knowledge of anatomy, physiology, positioning and radiographic technique.
  12. Assists Medical Staff when needed : preparing patients for physician consult or exam
    1. Takes medical histories
    2. Recording vital signs
    3. Explaining treatment procedures to patients
  13. Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams.
  14. Must be willing to work evenings, and weekends as assigned.
  15. Attends training sessions as requested and / or desired for knowledge and expertise.
  16. Participates in Prairie Clinic safety education, procedures and drills.
  17. Understands and follows all Prairie Clinic employee policies.
  18. Participates in other assigned duties as designated by the Patient Care Coordinator or Clinic Manager.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE :

• Two-year associate degree or four-year bachelor degree.

• Valid registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

• Valid Wisconsin licensure.

• BLS certified.
