Glenna Spears graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, in Madison, Wisconsin with a MSN - Women's Health Nurse Practioner in 1997. Her post-graduate work was done at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri where she earned her Masters Degree in Midwifery in 2001.

In 2005, Glenna joined Prairie Clinic as a Midwife.
