Joe Spurgeon, M.D.

Joe Spurgeon grew up on a farm in Iowa, then attended Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa for his undergraduate degree. He earned his doctorate from the University of Iowa's College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa in 1988. Then he completed his residency at the Rockford Family Practice Residency with the University of Illinois in Rockford, Illinois.

In 1991, Dr. Spurgeon moved to the Sauk-Prairie area in 1991 to join Prairie Clinic as a Physician. In 2005, Dr. Spurgeon completed his term as President of the Board of Directors for Prairie Clinic.

Dr. Spurgeon enjoys gardening and woodworking to relax; in fact, he built many of the woodwork items in the clinic, such as the chart boxes, several bookcases and tables.
